FindingsA

What happens to most research

It is commissioned, written with care, reviewed, approved and published as a PDF. Then it is read by the people who funded it.1

1 The pattern NGOs and research teams ask AZRI to break.

Report design, data visualization, explainer films and advocacy campaigns for NGOs and research teams, from Africa to the Middle East and Europe.

The research existed. Nobody was watching it.

Important work too often ends as a dense PDF, read by the people who commissioned it. The evidence is careful, the stakes are real, and the audience that most needs it never opens the file. We turn evidence, policy and lived experience into formats people open, understand and share, without losing accuracy or putting anyone at risk.

What we hear instead

  • A report that needs to become a campaign.
  • Findings that need Arabic, French and English editions.
  • A sensitive issue that needs careful visual storytelling.
  • A program that must feel credible to the public and to funders.
BriefWomenatrix

Turn research on technology-facilitated gender-based violence in the MENA region into a short film, a documentary, research articles and a practical digital safety guide. Without exposing a single identity.

For a KVINFO-funded regional advocacy initiative on women’s digital rights.

Womenatrix case study

Strict rules. A public that had to care.

For the second Tunisian edition of European Researchers’ Night, ARSII needed one teaser that excited the public, satisfied academic partners and respected Horizon Europe visibility.

  • The organizer’s identity, respected
  • Funder visibility, kept
  • One story for three audiences

TWISE Night case study

A conversation people avoid.

Intimacy, relationships and the body are rarely discussed openly in Tunisia. Omour Tabieya, a weekly radio podcast for young people, needed a visual language that could start that conversation without shutting it down.

Intimacy, Relationships, Body image, Youth.

Report and publication design, infographic summaries, data visualization, explainer films and motion graphics, social media cards and campaign visuals. Each piece is built from the same narrative, so the findings stay accurate across every format.

Yes. The studio works in Arabic, French and English, and plans each edition from the start so the layout, typography and tone hold in every language.

We treat visual choices as ethical decisions. For Womenatrix, a project on technology-facilitated gender-based violence, synthetic characters meant no real women were shown, and the films still reached more than 512,000 plays.

Yes, it is most of our work. We have worked with UN agencies, donors and partners whose brand guidelines are strict: we follow them closely and bring our creative touch within them. TWISE Night is one example, a teaser that respected the organizer’s identity and European funder visibility and still reached more than 50,000 people before the event.

Yes. A report summary, an infographic set or a campaign visual kit is a good way to start. Larger programs can grow from there into films, campaigns and full publication systems.

Everywhere. We work with organizations worldwide, from Africa to the Middle East and Europe, remotely, with clear review points at every stage of production.

  1. 01Understand. We review your brief, source material, audience, and context. Research meaning and relevant sources stay intact.
  2. 02Shape the story. We identify the central idea and select the formats that will make it clear, useful, and memorable.
  3. 03Create. We develop a connected visual system through design, film, and motion, with clear review points throughout production.
  4. 04Deliver. We prepare the agreed assets, platform-ready exports, and guidance your team needs to put the work to use.
